Bolivia's Wild Southwest - Salt Flats, Cactus Islands, Geysers, and Ice Peaked Mountains, in one of the Driest Environments on Earth

H-E-L-L - Y-E-A-H
My last leg through Bolivia would take me southwest toward Chile. This part of Bolivia is extremely isolated and considered one most surreal landscapes in South America. Think of a time when the Earth was barren of life and trees, but actively transforming it's rocky crust in the shadow of icy mountainous peaks, under one of the driest environments, with geysers, sulfuric lakes, and evaporated seas that left huge beds blinging crystallized salt as far as the eye can see. Sprinkle this world with flamingoes, a variety of webbed birds, plump rabbits that look like they were crossbred with giant guinea pigs, llamas, skittish lizards, and you have the wonderland of southern Bolivia.
